Performance
Guitar performance and music directing in jazz, theatre, and other styles.

I recently played a run of "Next to Normal" at The Riverside Center for the Performing Arts! This show was such a treat to familiarize myself with, and I absolutely love the small cast and orchestra. The music is very non-stop, and was quite a mental and physical workout! The audio is a mix of my in-ear mix and camera audio.

I recently played a production of the Lippa version of The Wild Party at VCU! This show is quite the challenge, lots of chords and frantic tempos! The audio is a mix of my in-ear mix and camera audio.

I recently began subbing at The Riverside Center for the Performing Arts, currently playing Jesus Christ Superstar! I've been blown away by the quality of this production, and this show has quickly become one of my favorites. The music is very non-stop, and was quite a mental and physical workout! The audio is a mix of my in-ear mix and camera audio.

Kinky Boots! At the Gallery Players in Brooklyn New York! This was a gig I was originally presented to play for 3 weeks, but due to The Pajama Game and Fun Home I ended up being the sub for the last weekend. This was an amazing production and a great sight-reading opportunity for me! I'm playing a combined book for this production. I've quickly become a huge fan of this show and the band was Immaculate, one I'm lucky to have played with multiple times.

I recently had the opportunity to play "Fun Home" by Jeanine Tesori and Lisa Kron, based on the graphic novel by Alison Bechdel, at William and Mary, the university I teach at! This show is so gorgeous and has quickly become one of my all-time favorites. The students did amazing, and I'm so glad to have been able to help this show happen.

This summer I was given the opportunity to have my first summer stock experience at the Mac-Haydn theater in Chatham New York! These are highlights from the first show I was hired to play, "All Shook Up." I'm honored to have been able to meet and work with so many incredible performers and artists, and discovered a new appreciation for Elvis and the show as a whole! In this video we're playing with a 6-piece ensemble due to space restraints, and I'm playing a combined guitar book. The audio engineer was nice enough to bounce an in-house mix for us on the night we recorded footage, so the audio is a mix of that and some camera audio.

This summer I was fortunate enough to be asked to return to the Virginia Theater Festival 2024, where they put on "Little Shop of Horrors!" The Virginia Theater Festival also celebrated it's 50th anniversary this year, now in it's new home at the University of Virginia. I'm honored to have been a part of such an incredible legacy! In this video we're playing the 2003 Broadway orchestration, and I'm honored to have played with such an incredible pit.
